Who am I?

Hey there! I’m Alina, my pronouns are she/her, and I’m a registered Acupuncturist and Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario (CTCMPAO). Titles aside, I’m a small town Ontario girl who moved back to the Hanover area from Toronto this year, loves powerlifting, and reads academic papers for fun (yeah I’m THAT kind of nerd).

What do I do?

Short version: I stick needles in people to fix their health problems!

Longer version: I use a bunch of different Chinese medicine treatment methods to address your health concerns. I might use acupuncture, cupping, tuina massage, herbal medicine, moxibustion, or guasha, depending on what you’ve got going on and what you’re comfortable with.

You can find more explanation about each of these treatments on the Services page.

Where can you find me?

Head over to the Book an Appointment page to see where I’m currently offering appointments.

Why did I pick TCM & Acupuncture and not another medical profession?

Did my parents put you up to this?

But seriously, I’ve seen the awesome ways traditional Chinese medicine can help people. Back when I was deciding what type of medicine I wanted to do, it was really frustrating to hear friends and family talk about how moments that they felt totally out of options when it came to their health. Chinese medicine offers another perspective. One that can mean big changes for you.

How can acupuncture or the other services I offer help you?

Great question, complicated answer. To start, most people come looking for relief from aches, pains, or injuries because that’s what they’ve heard acupuncture can help with. But Chinese medicine developed as a full system of medicine to address a long list of conditions, like this one.

Some common issues I can help you with other than neck, shoulder, or back pain are headaches/migraines, insomnia, digestive/gut problems, period cramps, and post-concussion syndrome.
